About Credit/D/Fail courses
In some direct-entry undergraduate programs of study, students can take eligible elective courses for Credit, D, or Fail standing instead of percentage grades. Learn more about Credit/D/Fail grading.
You will not be able to change your course to Credit/D/Fail on your own in Workday. You must contact your Academic Advisor to request the change in grading basis.
How to Find Credit/D/Fail Courses
First, find a course section
Follow the steps to view the course schedule.

- Once you find a course section you want to check, click the course title to go to a page titled “View Course Section”.

- On the left side of the “View Course Section” page, review the “Grading Basis” section. “Credit/D/Fail” will be listed in this section if you are able to take the course with this grading basis.
